Build a Cheap Super Silent Gaming PC

Recently i have bought and build a pc for my home office. I decided to build a computer as silent as possible with a good CPU, a mid-range graphic card, a silent tower with good cable management and SSD storage. The price (without the operating system) is about 1200$. Following you will find a list of the components that I have bought.

  • ASUS WLAN Adapter
    PCE-AC68 (PCI-E x1, 1300Mbit/s, 450Mbit/s)
  • be quiet! CPU cooler
    Dark Rock PRO 3 (16.30cm)
  • Intel CPU
    Core i7 4790K BOX (LGA 1150, 4GHz, Unlocked)
  • Fractal Midi Tower
Define R5 Black (Midi Tower, Schwarz)
  • Gigabyte Motherboard
    GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 (LGA 1150, Z97, ATX)
  • be quiet! power supply
    Pure Power CM L8 (630W)
  • Seagate (2nd harddrive)
    Desktop SSHD (2000GB, 3.5″, Desktop)
  • HyperX memory
    Fury Red (2x, 8GB, DDR3-1600, DIMM 240)
  • ASUS gaming card
    GTX 960 STRIX DC2OC (GM206, 4GB)
  • HyperX (ssd)
    Savage (240GB, 2.5″, 3.5″ Bracket)

The pc is really quite. When it is powerd on it doesen’t make any noise, also when gaming. Counter strike is playable in full texture details with a 4k resolution (3840 × 2160 px). Call of Duty Black Ops III, Far Cry 4 or GTA V are playable in FullHD with high texture and at least 30-40 frames/s. The Seagate SSHD is faster than a normal HD and perfect for saving games and movies. I have connected it to 2 monitors ASUS PB287Q 4K. All in all a good pc at a reasonable price.
