<p>Done!</p>
<h2>Install manually the FFpackage</h2>
<p>This solution is just in case, that the first one is not working.</p>
<p>First of all you need to find out which Synology modell that you have (in my case 916+). You find it in the “<em>System Settings -&gt; Info-Center</em>“:</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-897" src="http://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center.png" alt="" width="2355" height="1357" srcset="https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center.png 2355w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-300x173.png 300w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-768x443.png 768w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-1024x590.png 1024w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-1920x1106.png 1920w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-1680x968.png 1680w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-1240x715.png 1240w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-860x496.png 860w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-680x392.png 680w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-500x288.png 500w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-400x230.png 400w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-250x144.png 250w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-200x115.png 200w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-150x86.png 150w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-100x58.png 100w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-76x44.png 76w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-info-center-50x29.png 50w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 2355px) 100vw, 2355px" /></p>
<p>Now, you need to find out which architecture that you need for the FFmpeg package. Go to “<a href="https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/wiki/Architecture-per-Synology-model" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Architecture per Synology model</a>” and search your model. In my case I have to use the&nbsp;<em>braswell</em>&nbsp;Architecture:</p>
<ul>
<li>DS916+ – synology_braswell_916+</li>
</ul>
<p>Now that we know the architecure we can download the FFmpeg package from this site:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="https://mega.nz/#F!bF4TiIjK!O9AQKJiVoSrXpyBqrKCNRw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://mega.nz/#F!bF4TiIjK!O9AQKJiVoSrXpyBqrKCNRw</a></li>
<li><em>Update 16.01.2018</em>: this site has updated packages:&nbsp;<a href="https://guillaume.smaha.net/syno/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://guillaume.smaha.net/syno/</a></li>
<li><em>Update 9.5.2019</em>: official repository: &nbsp;<a href="https://synocommunity.com/package/ffmpeg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://synocommunity.com/package/ffmpeg</a></li>
</ul>
<p>In my case: “<em>FFmpegWithDTS-braswell-1.0-0005.spk</em>”</p>
<p>Now go to the “<em>Package Center</em>“, click on “<em>Manual Installation</em>” and select the previously downloaded&nbsp;<em>FFmpeg</em>&nbsp;package:</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-898" src="http://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation.png" alt="" width="2114" height="744" srcset="https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation.png 2114w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-300x106.png 300w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-768x270.png 768w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-1024x360.png 1024w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-1920x676.png 1920w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-1680x591.png 1680w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-1240x436.png 1240w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-860x303.png 860w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-680x239.png 680w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-500x176.png 500w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-400x141.png 400w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-250x88.png 250w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-200x70.png 200w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-150x53.png 150w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-100x35.png 100w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-76x27.png 76w, https://costigator.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/synology-manual-installation-50x18.png 50w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 2114px) 100vw, 2114px" /></p>
<p>Select “<em>next</em>” and “<em>apply</em>“.</p>
<p>Congratulations! Now you should be able to run DTS videos&nbsp;<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p>First of all you need to stop all the applications manually (open the application manager in the DSM). <pre><code class="eckosc eckosc_syntax_theme_dark" data-language="shell">find /var/packages/ -type l -ls | grep volume1</code></pre>
<p>The output, depending on which applications you have installed, should look like this:</p>

<p>For each application you need to create a new simbolic link replacing the old one:</p>
<pre><code class="eckosc eckosc_syntax_theme_dark" data-language="shell">ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/DownloadStation /var/packages/DownloadStation/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/VPNCenter /var/packages/VPNCenter/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/DNSServer /var/packages/DNSServer/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/VideoStation /var/packages/VideoStation/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/MediaServer /var/packages/MediaServer/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/CloudStation /var/packages/CloudStation/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/AntiVirus /var/packages/AntiVirus/target<br />
ln -sfn /volume2/@appstore/StorageAnalyzer /var/packages/StorageAnalyzer/target</code></pre>
<p>To be sure check that now the symbolic links are pointing to the new volume:</p>
<pre><code class="eckosc eckosc_syntax_theme_dark" data-language="shell">find /var/packages/ -type l -ls | grep volume2</code></pre>
The result:<br />
<pre><code class="eckosc eckosc_syntax_theme_dark" data-language="shell">4480 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 Nov 5 13:59 /var/packages/DownloadStation/target -&gt; /volume2/@appstore/DownloadStation<br />

<h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>The migration is done and you can start the applications again. They should work as normal <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>
